According to Viktor
Yushchenko's presidential campaign, a cargo plane landed in the Uzhhorod
regional airport yesterday, carrying Russian Special Forces troops
in full fighting gear.
The
information was provided by a “Staryi Zamok” journalist, who obtained
it from a source at the airport.
The Yushchenko campaign says the troops have been ordered to lay siege
to the Zacarpathian regional administration and Uzhhorod city council.
Last night unidentified individuals were attacking people that bore
orange insignia in Uzhhorod, according to the Yushchenko Uzhhorod
headquarters.
The campaign claims that the takeover of state and local government
institutions by "criminal elements" with insignia of the
people’s president had been planned for today, in order to instigate
an emergency situation in the town.

According to Ukrainian
media and Viktor Yushchenko's presidential campaign, two Russian aircraft
landed at the Kiev's Boryspil international airport today carrying
military personnel of the Vitiaz submarine special forces
unit.
The
troops, estimated at 1,000 in number were then transported to Kiev,
but their current whereabouts are unknown.
The
initial report of the troop landing came from Ukrainian Colonel Lyashenko,
assistant commander of aircraft services at the airport. Following
his refusal to follow orders to accept the aircraft, he reportedly
submitted his resignation.
The Yushchenko campaign
notified Ukraine 's Security Service (SBU) Chairman Ihor Smeshko for
appropriate investigation. The campaign also requested security protection
be given Colonel Lyashenko.
The SBU's military counter-intelligence reportedly later confirmed
to the campaign that Colonel Lyashenko had indeed resigned his post
at Boryspil airport today. However, the SBU representative rejected
the report that Russian special forces landed there today.
Yesterday, Yushchenko
campaign chairman Oleksandr Zinchenko and Yushchenko ally Yulia Tymoshenko
reported they saw non-Ukrainian special forces units at the presidential
administration in downtown Kyiv, when they were peacefully let through
a human barricade located on the street in front of the presidential
administration.

59 orange-tagged records from Volusia, Florida showing that
our elections have not been at all transparent, and are missing
one-third of the key documents entirely. Psst. Don't look here.
