Just another area humans are ruining at the speed of light. Why is it we are one species of hundreds of thousands on earth and we are so arrogant for thinking we come first. How many times do ya hear we need to grow the economy? It is there to serve us, not the other way around. This is suicide. How long can we continue the earth rape peep show? Ripping and tearing the earth apart to make the precious buck? To grow some human invention - the economy. GMO's should be stopped and forgotten. Consumerism needs to be throttled back big time...and soon. There is real pain and pleasure. There is suffering. Human intelligence means nothing in relation to the bigger picture of all other life forms abilities and characteristics. Look at where our 'higher' intelligence has gotten us? For me there is no God, Allah, Jesus, or second coming...there is no Devil. But! There are arrogant, selfish, mindless, species racists we'll call incredibly stupid humans fulfilling these roles most efficiently. Makes as much sense as that asshole DesCartes. I relate most to this line of thought:
"Aboriginal peoples learned from their stories that a society must not be human-centred but rather land-centred. Otherwise they forget their source and purpose...humans are prone to exploitative behaviour if not constantly reminded they are interconnected with the rest of creation, that they as individuals are only temporal in time, and past and future generations must be included in their perception of their purpose in time."
C Morris (1995)

We all need air and water...it should be a basic right (or whatever we should term it) for everything here and now...not owned or controlled by some corp or humans...we disrupt and ruin that and none of the other topics out there really matter.

It is the intellectual property of the 'people/tax payers' afterall, and any tech breakthroughs should be turned over for public consumption. If this story is true; this may be a great thing!
The U.S. Naval Research Laboratory is working to extract the carbon dioxide and produce hydrogen gas from the seawater. The key is then converting the carbon dioxide and hydrogen into hydrocarbons that can then be used to develop JP-5 fuel stock.' _________________ "Now water can flow or it can crash.
