'ice age 2: the meltdown'

..."wow Dad, did you see the rendering on that climate chaos"
- "yeah Son,
maybe we should've driven here in Mums Corolla"
..."Dad ?
can i turn out a lightbulb when we get home ?"
- "of course you can, Son, of course you can"

now the reason for 'ice age' (part 1) is clear as melted glacier, i haven't seen either,
so i cannot say whether they just escape to somewhere, or initiate government and start paying it taxes to prevent this 'meltdown'

Matt. Hi mate.
Having seen 'Ice Age 2,The Meltdown', the BIG thing i noticed is that the "meltdown" did not take thousands of years, but more of a case where you wake up one day,and low and behold, their is a meltdown happening!
You have 90 minutes before all the ice melts!
Kiddies get the mindset that when they hear about global warming, they think maybe tomorrow all the ice might melt and drown us all!
Seems to plant that sort of seed. "Catastrophe is just around the corner kids,do what we say, and all will be OK !!!!"
Just my thoughts anyways Matt.

hi Rusty

yeah, sounds just like i'd have expected it to go...i can just imagine all the frightened kids doing collages of climate chaos in class

"kids don't cry, you'll mess up those lovely pictures for your Mommies and Daddies - "Miss Dawkins, my Daddy died in Iraq"..."I'm dreadfully sorry Jimmy...now cheer up you kids, don't be afraid, well be a little afraid, just not too much"

...then when Ma and Pa stick the picture of drowning people to the icebox with a smiling sun fridge magnet, they'll get all guilty and start wanting more tax going on their credit cards at the petrol station

No matter the sequence of events, the total time it takes for the global temperature to change is what counts. Gradual and even rapid warming goes on for decades, centuries and millennia. Cooling on the other hand seems to need only years to plunge us into the next ice age....

Land in the interior hot deserts may get pretty valuable....
