Dude. You got it.
Coming right up.
Been maxed out getting a new project going
and trying to invent enough money to eat.
But, yeah - it's waaaaay past overdue.

Thanks for saying what we've all been wanting to say, Toto.
I think that there's an up side to the hiatus, though. Fintan's wise enough not to let listeners fall prey to the folly of becoming too dependent upon a public personality to do all their thinking for them. People are conditioned to do that now.
And Fintan, I'd say you practice "giving the gift of missing you" correctly, and for the right reasons. I think you're doing a great job getting people to forge their own rusty neural pathways in the right direction. But gee whiz, it'll sure be outstanding to have another broadcast! _________________ The anticipated never happens. The unexpected constantly occurs |

My thoughts echo Ormond's comments precisely.
I would have hoped that BFN would have been popular enough by now for Fintan to be able to make a living from it, but judging from the number of people on the forum, it's not the case. It's a pitty considering the quality of the audio productions and the information provided. I have donated a few times, but not a great deal because I'm a student. I'd like to do more, so I tell people about BFN when I can. Hopefully without sounding like I'm insane, or an evangalist.
On the bright side, I guess it shows just how special and lucky this small community on BFN is. |

9/11 V. Home Improvements
By Fintan Dunne
Iraqis breathe uranium dust.
Market forces boom and bust.
The Constitution's in the can,
And we're just niggers, for the man.
Crops are being contaminated,
Lakes and rivers decimated.
Evolution is frustrated.
Still you're waiting...
Why are you waiting?
'Cos you got a lawn an' it need mowin'.
You got a hedge 'n it just keeps growin.
You got a border that needs trimmin'.
Maybe a pool to clean for swimmin'?
You're too buzy fixin' shelves,
We gotta look out for ourselves.
The revolution will not wait for home improvements.
Verse II
Now the CIA pulled 9/11,
While Osama, baby he was up in heaven.
All this terrorism is homemade.
Mainstream media bought 'n paid.
Big Pharma wrapped all around your brain,
An' your local doctor's gone insane.
Are you to blind to see what's plain,
But still you're waiting...
Why are you waiting?
'Cos you got a lawn an' it need mowin'.
You got a hedge 'n it just keeps growin.
You got a border that needs trimmin'.
Maybe you're too buzy chasin' women?
And while you're sittin' there on your ass,
You know you're so fuckin' middle class.
The revolution will not wait for your home improvements.
The revolution will not wait for home improvements.
Verse III
Now the folks in times of old,
They had no truck with paper gold.
And when the chains of bondage were torn,
That's when democracy was born.
But now this one-two-party State,
It stages terror, it wages hate.
So hit the streets, before it gets too late.
But you got a lawn an' it need mowin'.
You got a hedge 'n it just keeps growin.
You got a border that needs trimmin'.
An' a pool to clean for swimmin'.
And while you're sittin' there on your ass,
You know you're so fuckin' middle class.
The revolution will not wait for home improvements.
The revolution will not wait for home improvements.
Why are you waiting?

Dude, you rock.
Of all the '911/Iraq War' genre of tunes I've heard, most vent rage, but none have highlighted the apathy.
Accurate to a tee on mowing the lawns and carryin' on with the SUV soccer mom 'lifestyle'.
What I see, though, is a stress in the faces, fear, and a carefulness in conversations. To steal an old line from the "Beasty Boys", 'ain't nobody laughin' cos everybody's pakin' sorta feel.
It's the fear, this particular kind of buried, indifinable feeling of vague forboding that's been keeping the public paralitic. I still feel it too.....like an invisible weight in my gut.
We've got to break this fear this year.
I'll spread the song around. _________________ The anticipated never happens. The unexpected constantly occurs |

Try downloading it on the dialup option, Jerry. I can't seem to download it from the DSL option either. But downloads fine with 'right click, save link as' on PC.
Editor's Note: Oppps. Fixed that naming problem. The DSL
version of the show should download or play fine now. -Fintan _________________ The anticipated never happens. The unexpected constantly occurs |
