Perhaps not a "real" scientific issue, but there is some conjecture about the "missing" patch of the firmament in Google sky at the following coordinates: 5h 53m 27.0s, -6 10' 58.0"

While this is the locus for the "discovery" some 20 years ago of a supposed supernova remnant, (G1.9) recent conjecture has indicated that it might well be Nemesis, our Sun's binary brown dwarf companion. Once the anticipated sensationalistic rhetoric started about Niburu etc. reference to the above location went down a different type of black hole
Any ideas or info concerning this patch of sky's absence or related topics?  _________________ The grand design, reflected in the face of Chaos. |
