While pointing out deliberate disinformation is important, I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on who might NOT be a fake.

Here are some examples of what I would consider good journalism, at this time....any thoughts? List your own as well...

Keith Harmon Snow We've all heard of him...
www.allthingspass.com

The majority of OpEdNews aside(it's littered with junk), in my opinion, Georgianne Nienaber is an excellent journalist(has worked with Keith)

Worth a look...

Thanks bri,

Just went to the first link on your post allthingspass.com and my scanner caught a Downloader virus.
And I'm "well protected", so you IE users might not want to click on that link.
Anybody else get hit with that?

There are *still* IE users around? Wink

You might want to use something better like Firefox. Cool

Seriously, though - what link was it that you clicked on to get that warning, and what AV program was it alerted you? I can't see anything offhand on that page that would 'push' any nasties on your machine.

I had a "threat detected" message when I last entered allthingspass, using firefox, and the threat was from AVG

I'll email Keith about it

Are you using the new AVG8 with the 'Link Scanner' plugin by any chance?

You got the warning just by visiting the front-page of the site?

They have withdrawn that plugin just yesterday or so, due to the load that it was putting on web servers across the 'net - it was responsible for practically DDOSing them.

Well, don't keep me wondering - what did you 'figure out'? Inquiring minds are curious and want to know. Wink

I don't use IE, nor would I ever. I was just warning others that might still be using IE. Smile
And yes, there are still people using IE. Sad
I do know a few, and most of em aren't your, lets just say, computer savvy people. Wink

index1[1].htm - JS/ Downloader.Agent
counter[1].thm - JS/ Psyme.MX
update[1].htm - JS/ Downloader.Agent

AVG Free Edition
if that helps
